#3 - Hard Work Beats Talent When Talent Doesn't Work

How bad do you want to succeed? Take a look in the mirror and ask yourself am I doing what I need to do to be successful. If you’re partying on the weekend, getting high and drunk, then you’re not. If you not doing extra pushups and sit ups at night after morning run, school and weight lifting then you’re not. If you’re not in your playbook, watching extra film, or perfecting your craft then you’re not. Listen to me very closely; to succeed you must be willing to do what others are not. These actions separate athletes that want to be successful and the athletes who will be successful. Time you spend practicing bad habits, substitute that time with your weak areas to build them up; because while you out practicing unhealthy habits, there are other people in their playbook, watching film,  getting in extra work perfecting their craft.

Word of the day is GREATNESS!

  1. Watching the NFL growing up, their was 2 players you had to know about. And thats Michael Vick, and Ray Lewis. He has inspired more people off the field with his inspirational talks and tough speeches than making the big play on the field. He showed me a reason to push my limits and truly be great.

  2. Great post! I couldn't agree more! Some of my lousy habits come from going along with what everyone else does instead of "willing to do what others are not", a habit that I need to let loose. I feel my best when my ideas are my own.
