#5 - It's not where you start, it's where you finish!
You ever feel like you’ve been waiting too long for your dream to become reality. Well, truth is humbleness is the key to make your dream become a reality. Cam Newton sat behind Tim Tebow for two years and never got a chance to play because of off field issues; then he went to Blinn Community College and played there one year. After winning a national championship for Blinn Community College he transferred to Auburn University and took them to the national championship. Those two years not being able to touch the field gave him a desire to stay humble and patient as he worked hard without scrutiny from scouts. And now Cam is the starting QB for the Carolina Panthers and one of the best QB’s in the league. Continue to work hard and learn everything you can. When you’re called to perform you will do it well because of your humbleness.
I didn't know about this story, it's hard to imagine enduring two years of that but staying patient and humble. Definitely an inspirational athlete that everyone can learn something from. This was a great post and I like that you added the video.
I really liked reading this post, I am not much of a sports fan so I did not know this. But it is awesome that he was so patient and worked so hard and was able to stay humble. That is hard for a lot of athletes. Great post!
